About our school

O’Sullivan Beach Primary School is located approximately 28 km south west of Adelaide. It caters for around 90 students from Reception to year 6. The Southern Expressway now makes Adelaide and the City of Onkaparinga more accessible to O’Sullivan Beach residents.

O’Sullivan Beach Primary School has a broad range of teaching and learning programs and our school values of CARE: cooperation, achievement, respect and empathy are embedded in the school culture. Restorative Behaviour practices are used across the school and are aimed at building relationships.

The school grounds are award winning, with recognition and awards being presented to the school from the Mayor of Onkaparinga as well as from the Royal Adelaide Show. The school community takes great pride in their school grounds, and as part of the curriculum the students help to maintain it. They also grow fruit and vegetables that are used in their Stephanie Alexander kitchen garden classes each week.

O’Sullivan Beach Children’s Centre is co-located within the grounds of the school and there is a strong relationship between the two facilities. Students from the Children’s Centre visit for gardening experiences and there is an extended transition program in place, aimed at building relationships with families as well as students. The school grounds and Gymnasium are also shared with local sporting groups after hours.
